This was the last match for 2023 and the furthest away. Traffic delayed some of our team but our hosts graciously delayed the start and eventually we teed off around 9 a.m. With only 10 men, Reg and Mac played 3 ball with two opponents each! Our final match with the Coulsdon Ladies for this year and as usual they laid on a great day. Another day another match. The weather does not look good but we are ready to play our final match with Woldingham this year. As expected it rained and looked like it would be set for the day. The weather has turned and we have a beautiful day to play our return match with Addington Court. A full team was present and we set off into the sun looking for a win or at least a draw. Unfortunately not to be and we lost 4 and 2. The company outshone the loss and our friends at Addington were the perfect hosts. Better luck next year!
The weather was slightly cooler than of late when we gathered for the first of two matches with Lingfield Park. Our return match with North Downs started in high spirits. Having lost to them at home just two weeks ago with a 4 1/2 to 1 1/2 defeat, we needed to win. What a glorious day. After some pleading we managed to fielded a full team. The sun was beating down and the golf was good. Unfortunately not good enough to beat our hosts. It was a heavy loss 5 1/2 to 1/2! Thank goodness for Alex and Reg who saved us from another whitewash! Sorry no pictures were taken!
