With 16 gents on each team the only way we could get this match going was to have an early Tee so we all met at 7 am for rolls and coffee and introduction in readiness for a 7.40 first tee! This is only the second time we have played Shirley Park and what a great day it was.
A very friendly team with lots of banter throughout the match and the lunch.
Rain was forecast so we were prepared to get a little damp.
The first 4 went out on time and the second 4 followed 7 minutes after. This was going to be the format and it worked. By 12.45 we were all back in the bar, some a little wetter than others, ready for a well deserved lunch followed by the inevitable speeches and scores.
We were victorious, winning 6 and 2. As we drew the last match this was an overall win. Well done lads.
