It’s been a lovely summer and today was no different. The troops gathered for a 9am tee on a course that some of us find extremely challenging. Looking back at our first match this year with Addington we lost 4 & 2. so we needed to win this one by the same margin for an overall draw! Play was a bit slow but the pace soon picked up.
Unfortunately our first team lost, but then the second team came in with a win. Things were looking good but then the next two teams lost! We needed to win the last two games to draw the day but it was not to be. Our 5th team won and our 6th team lost.
The overall score was a 4 & 2 loss.
Lunch and commiserations ended the day but it’s not over. Next year we start it all again and I am sure with some better golfing (and some luck) we will be in with a chance.
