Wow! The hottest day of the year so far and we are all set to do battle with our friends from Mitcham.
With the first match being a draw we had our work cut out if we wanted to gain the glory this year and with a trophy, which was supplied by Mitcham, there was even more at stake.
The first team on the tee and the battle commenced. Surprisingly our second team were back in the bar long before anyone else including the first team! Mainly because they had beaten their opponents 5&4 and no one wanted to carry on!
The bar slowly filled and the scores came in. It was becoming apparent that we had the match well and truly won with a 5 1/2 to 1/2 victory.
Unfortunately Roger Clark suffered quite a serious injury and ended up in hospital with stitches in his head from which he is recovering well.
Well done to all for a fantastic achievement and an overall win for the VETS.
