This day was going to be the hottest yet. With temperatures into the low 30’s, even before the first tee, we all knew that we had a long day ahead of us.
The bacon butty and coffee helped to motivate the teams but with a late tee time of 9.30 we struggled into the heat. The course was like the Serengeti, without an lbex nibbling at our ankles!
For one of our members the heat was just too much and he had to retire but he put up a valiant fight!
The scores came in one by one as sandwiches were served. It was a 4 & 2 loss but a great day.
