It’s the 20th March and the weather is unbelievable for our first match of the season with Woldingham.
After a bacon butty, a coffee and introductions, the first team lead by our stand in captain Simon ventured to the tee.
The day became hotter and I am told so did the golf. Some 4 hours later and we started to return to the club house for well deserved drinks and a meal.
Then came the speeches and results.
1st team lost – Second team lost – third team won – 4th team lost 5th team won. Could we get a draw? Not this time I’m afraid as the last team cam in just one shot down!
So it was a 4 2 loss for us but a great day and great hosts.
