Not only was 2024 the 75th Anniversary for our club but it was possibly the best year we have had for match results. There were 20 home and away matches planned, the most I believe we have ever had.
A great team spirit got the ball rolling and it didn’t stop. We presented a full team for every match with the exception of the last one at Wimbledon where we could only muster 7! We still played which earnt us the title of “The Magnificent Seven” from our opponents at Wimbledon. Unfortunately we lost the match though!
Lingfield Park were unable to field a full team at our match with them. They were lucky that day. We had more guys than we needed so we “lent” them some of our members. Unfortunately Lingfield Park will not be playing in matches anymore as their numbers have seriously dwindled.
Shirley Park will continue to play 16 members, a bit of a challenge for us but we did it this year so let’s hope we can do it again in 2025.
Overall results were Coulsdon Court Vets managed an impressive 6 wins and 3 draws. Two matches were cancelled.
2025 will see 3 less matches to play. Only two matches will be played with the Coulsdon Ladies Golf Club and the home and away matches with Lingfield Park as mentioned above.. All other clubs have now been confirmed for 2025.
Great year all round thanks to a growing match squad.
